I’m Roda Teame, a creative based in Los Angeles, and the reason you should care about me is because I understand both the art and the audience. I study Film Production and Marketing at Loyola Marymount University, but I learned most of my real skills by doing the work, not just studying it. I’ve been on 15+ film sets working in cinematography and editing, and I’ve helped market four independent films, including a project that secured $70,000 in funding. Recently, I was onboarded to lead the marketing team for a $70,000 feature film shooting this summer, which was a turning point for me, proof that I can actually build and move an audience.
I’ve been watching YouTube since 2014, I grew up on it, I still keep up with it daily, and my favorite creator right now is Niko Omilana. His content hits the sweet spot I love, fun, unpredictable, chaotic, but smart and intentional at the core. I believe the best content feels effortless even when it’s planned down to the second. Most applicants can edit or market, but not many can do both while genuinely understanding YouTube culture, trends, pacing, retention, and community building. I can step into editing, content strategy, audience growth, thumbnails, storytelling, campaign rollouts, and even camera work when needed. I like being versatile because the platform itself rewards creators who can adapt fast and execute clean.
I want more experience, more challenges, and more creative spaces that push me to grow. There are millions of applicants, but the reason I’m one to pay attention to is because I don’t just create to post, I create to connect. I think about the story, the timing, the jokes, the visuals, the audience, and the long game. If I’m on your team, I’m actually in it, I care about the work like it’s my own, and I stay locked in. That’s why I would be a perfect fit for your team.
