Hi, my name is Kal, and I live in Richmond, BC, where I feel fortunate to be in an area with a booming film industry. I have always considered myself a visual and storytelling learner, which is why I pursued filmmaking. I was diagnosed with dyslexia at a young age, which made reading and writing challenging. However, I remained determined to overcome these difficulties and lead a fulfilling life
I completed a film production course at Infocus Film School in 2018 to explore my interest in film and identify my area of specialization. After careful consideration, I realized that writing was my true passion, as it aligned with my leadership skills and driven nature. In 2022, I enrolled in a writing course at Langara, where the short films I wrote were well-received, and I even won some awards for my film "Interscape: Unconscious Minds of the World."
I am passionate about marketing and believe this opportunity will enhance my experience and understanding of outreach strategies. I played a key role in transforming my family's laser business from a startup into a thriving establishment, gaining valuable skills in business development and customer engagement. Additionally, during a three-month internship at an e-commerce company, I worked on various marketing campaigns and learned about digital marketing techniques, including social media marketing and work with the CEO. These experiences have solidified my desire to pursue a career in marketing, providing me with a strong foundation to build upon.
As a passionate filmmaker and marketer, my ultimate goal is to craft cinematic pieces that captivate and engage audiences in every possible way. From the foundation of the story to the final cut, I pour my heart and soul into each aspect of the filmmaking process. I strive to create narratives that not only entertain but also inspire and influence viewers on a deeper level. By using my creativity and technical skills, I aim to spark meaningful conversations and leave a lasting impact on the audience with every film I produce.
