I am a beginner transcriptionist looking to provide proper subtitles/captions to uploaded content, as well as a beginner video-editor. I've enjoyed writing for years, with creative writing becoming one of my main hobbies. I am also an avid YouTube video consumer. I'm extremely passionate about making things. No, really, I'm pursuing film as my career and post-secondary education. Now, I know a lot of YouTubers are extremely passionate about the videos they are creating and sharing, as they rightfully should be! Adding transcribed captions will only heighten the overall quality of your media, and it's important to me that when collaborating on someone else's project that I take even more care than I would on my own.

At the age of 13, I got a computer and my friends asked me if I wanted to learn how to edit videos for their YouTube channel. From there, I spent the next 5 years editing game play, live action, and animated videos for them, as well as co-hosting in a number of episodes. Unfortunately once we all turned 18, the channel fizzled out as we went to college. Inspired by my love of editing, I decided to pursue an education in film. I attended Fairleigh Dickinson University where I graduated with a BA in Film/Animation - Directing and a Music Minor. I was able to do an internship with the Black Inventors Hall of Fame, where we filmed a documentary about the restoration of the Kruger-Scott Mansion in Newark, NJ, chronicling the artistry of the craftsmen brought in from around the world to breathe life into the once abandoned Victorian Home. Since then, I have moved to New York City, where I have been working small gigs and retail, as my arrival in the city happened to coincide with the beginning of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. I have 11+ years of experience with the Adobe Creative Suite, going back to CS6, and wanted to come on here to get back to my roots. YouTube has always been a part of my life, and is still one of my favorite forms of entertainment. Getting to help a content creator make videos that could inspire others to go on the path I did would not only be gratifying, but a dream come true.

I've been a filmmaker for the past 6 years. I have learned a lot through courses, and YouTube channels, but also on the go, with a lot of mistakes. I recently became a Video Project Manager for a company creating educational content for therapists. Let's talk about the elephant in the room. Yes, AI is here to stay and we should probably learn how to work with it rather than against it -at least that's what I'm choosing to do. I'm passionate about working with genuine people. It might sound weird, but the people I'm working with are SO important to me. So if you're a nice person, that knows how to properly communicate with people, we might be a good match. Hello, I’ve been editing videos/thumbnails on YouTube for 4 years now using the adobe suite products like photoshop and premiere pro, both for my own channel and for other YouTubers/streamers. The important thing to look at is the skills and techniques on display. New skills can be learned if you need me to as well. As a brief summary this is my simplified method for editing 1. I start every project by watching through all the footage while cutting out any boring or redundant parts. 2. doing simple edits for retention (zooms, pans, color editing, sound effects) 3. I add music to enhance the tone of the scenes. 4. I throw in a complicated or time consuming edits to add a wow factor and encourage engagement (This does make my editing take longer so when I have shorter time constraints I won’t be able to add many of these) 5. I do one final quality control by watching the video back after some time or having someone else watch it to make sure that it’s as good as it could be. I hope to hear back soon.

During my times in various large gaming communities, I was the person responsible for making sure people doing their job are actually doing it, and weren't hired by friends/got into using connections without actual skills/aspiration, and rooted out people willing to leak our hard-earned work (Like code of the builds produced by our hard-working devs). I also was "judging" various questionable issues between players, staff and few workers, firing those who were malicious or incompetent. In a sense, it was Human Resources. But my real aspiration is, of course, writing and translating. I am proficient in Russian. I learnt language for all my life and preferred to talk with English speakers rather than Russians. Both languages are foreign for me, but I speak Russian on daily basis more often than English. While trying to write this Bio, I honestly couldn't explain who I was in that community for my friend who was asking me to help. I solved scandals on forums, was dead honest and never cared of who I am dealing with - I always tried to be unbiased. If that's really of any use to anyone - I am willing to do that. Otherwise, I am always ready to translate and communicate.

I have experience working on shows during my training at Guildford School of Acting as both a Deputy Stage Manager and a Stage Manager. I have helped prop shows and called various performances through my undergrad at Anglia Ruskin where I helped stage manage fifteen student performances. I also have run technical sessions, created health and safety paperwork as well as follow spotted for a production. I enjoy working in a busy environment with constantly evolving work. I have found I thrive with being given a list of tasks and enjoy helping people with whatever they require me to do. I have always had an interest in media both on stage and off and want to experience every facet of it. I have also helped with rigging lights, cutting gels and wish to learn more about the technical sides of theatre and concerts. Beyond working in my field, I have worked at CEX as a supervisor, which included organising products and preparing them for sale as well as testing items coming in for sale to make sure they are functioning to the correct standards. I feel that my time in this role has given me experience and skills that are translatable in the realm of theatre. I am good at cleaning up items to make them look better, as well as being able to wrap them safely for transport should the prop not be collected from the theatre.

My video research, thumbnail, and overall editing skills are completely self taught and I am still willing to learn. I currently have my own YouTube and TikTok channel that is currently growing. However, I am hoping to find work with more established creators so I can continue learn. For this reason, I am willing to work for a much lower rate than most editors and I am extremely flexible with feedback. I would be more than willing to provide examples of my work upon request.
