During these formative years, Sila began writing, directing and acting in plays. After high school, Sila embarked on a journey in Thessaloniki, Greece. This period was marked by a search for deeper personal and artistic understanding. Following this enriching experience, Sila pursued an internship in Istanbul with a film production company, working closely with the director Kivanc Baruönü. This internship was a pivotal time, as it provided hands-on experience in filmmaking and directing, further solidifying Sila’s passion for the cinematic arts. In spring of 2024, Sila wrote and directed her first short film. In this project Sila took on multiple roles, including producing and cinematography. Simultaneously, Sila began a writing project for a theatre in Augsburg, she also was the directing assistant in that play. “What inspires me?” This quest has been the driving force behind the diverse artistic and academic pursuits. Sila studies sociology and philosophy in Frankfurt . This academic pursuit reflects a desire to deepen understanding of societal structures and dynamics, with the ultimate goal of integrating these insights into art.
