ThisBytesForYou is a growing YouTube channel that dives deep into the world of technology, providing detailed build guides, reviews, and tech insights. We pride ourselves on delivering content that is not only informative but also engaging and entertaining to our tech-savvy audience.  It's not growing as quickly as I like, and that's where you come in.

Position Overview
: We are seeking a talented and creative Video Editor who can bring a new level of excitement and retention to our videos. The ideal candidate will have a style that resonates with the editing seen in channels like GamersNexus, JayzTwoCents, and PC Centric, but with a unique flair that enhances our detailed build content.  I like their styles, but I get deeper and more detailed in the builds.... people love it, but maybe that's where I am stuck?

Key Responsibilities
:
  • Edit video footage to create polished and engaging YouTube videos that align with the ThisBytesForYou brand.
  • Collaborate closely with the content creator to ensure the editing style and content details are consistent with channel standards.
  • Implement dynamic editing techniques to enhance viewer retention and excitement without overshadowing the technical details.
  • Add creative graphics, transitions, and effects that complement the tech-focused content.
  • Manage multiple video projects from concept to completion within deadlines.  I try to publish 1 video a week, I get that we may need to skip our first week since we will start working together.

Qualifications
:
  • Proven experience in video editing, preferably with a portfolio showcasing work on tech or gaming content.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Davinci or similar.  I personally use Davinci, I have edited all my videos.
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for technology and storytelling through video, though I do understand if you don't know you don't necessarily need to know a lot about tech... I don't know how that will work.
  • Ability to interpret feedback and implement changes to achieve the desired outcome.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.

What We Offer
:
  • The opportunity to be part of a channel that is at the forefront of tech content on YouTube.
  • Creative freedom to express your editing style within the framework of our brand.
  • A collaborative environment where your ideas and contributions are valued.
  • Competitive compensation and the potential for growth within the channel.

Notes on the Employment type, I want to bring you on to be my editor but its not a full time job.  Maybe we can grow together for it to be a full time job but its not now.  My plan is to quit my day job one day, and do this all the time, and this is another place you come in, with that I will pay you more as we grow together.

I have thumbnail design listed, it would be a plus but not mandatory.
