At Strangeology, I dive deep into the world of weird. My main channel is a haven for those captivated by folklore & mythology, cryptids, aliens/UFOs, the paranormal, ancient mysteries, and forbidden knowledge using long format storytelling and thorough research to present information as accurate as possible. Strangeology also complements our channel by exploring these topics through engaging podcast interviews and discussions with different experts throughout the Fortean realm.
The Role:
I’m on the hunt for a skilled YouTube video editor who can bring our longer-format storytelling graphics and talking head videos to life, alongside crafting compelling video edits for our podcast interview episodes using relevant b-roll, imagery and style. Your creativity will help shape the way my audience experiences the strange and unexplained and bring these stories to life.
Your Mission:
- To edit and produce engaging 9-15 minute videos that captivate our audience and elevate our content. Raw video & audio files, along with video script and outline will be provided.
- To collaborate closely with me to ensure the aesthetic, content, and culture of Strangeology is perfectly captured and conveyed through our videos.
- To bring a creative flair to both our main channel video content and our podcast episodes, making complex topics both understandable and fascinating.
Ideal Candidate:
- You have a solid background in video editing, with a portfolio that showcases your ability to handle longer format videos.
- You're proficient in using Adobe Premiere, Audition and After Effects.
- You have a genuine interest in the themes covered by Strangeology. A passion for the strange and unexplained will make you stand out!
- You're a storyteller at heart, capable of turning raw footage into a compelling narrative.
- You're open to feedback and collaboration, understanding that the best results come from working together.
