About the Job
As an asset writer, your main task will be to find the right materials to help bring our videos to life, particularly focusing on military topics. You will be responsible for sourcing a wide variety of assets, including footage, images, and graphics, to support the creation of high-quality videos ranging from 12 to 20 minutes. You will need to collect content that complements the scripts and voiceovers, ensuring that the visuals match the story we are telling for 5 to 10 videos a week.

Ideal Candidate
  •  At least 2 years of experience in a research, content creation, or similar role.
  •  Strong interest and natural curiosity about military/technical topics.
  •  Skilled at sourcing high-quality footage, images, and graphics for video projects.
  •  Experience working with stock footage libraries and other online resources for sourcing video content (we do not use YouTube videos as sources).
  •  Ability to match assets to video themes and scripts, ensuring a coherent and engaging video.
  •  Comfortable working independently and in a remote team environment.
  •  Good organizational and communication skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  •  Familiarity with YouTube-style content and the overall production pipeline (not a requirement, but a plus!).

Job Requirements
  •  Sourcing Assets: Find and collect the necessary footage, images, and graphics for videos that match the script and voiceover.
  •  Basic Editing skills: Familiarity with editing software like Adobe Premiere and After Effects to be able to add footage into a timeline.
  •  Collaboration: Work closely with the video editing and scripting teams to ensure the assets align with the video's tone and objectives.
  •  Asset Management: Organize and catalog the assets effectively for easy use by the video editing team.
  •  Create and maintain an Internal Asset Library.
  •  Attention to Detail: Ensure that every asset used fits the video's narrative and enhances the viewer's experience.

Compensation
Base Salary: $700 USD per month
Performance Bonuses: Up to $300 USD per month
  •  Production Volume Bonus (up to $100)
  •  Quality and Relevance Bonus (up to $100)
  •  Technical Skill Bonus (up to $50)
  •  Quarterly Performance Bonus (up to $50 monthly equivalent)
