Hi there! I have always had a passion for video editing and writing - especially on the topics of art and video games. I have several years of video editing experience, mostly within the Adobe cloud (Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, etc.) However, I soak up information about new programs very quickly. I have edited videos for just about everything, but I enjoy making video gaming compilations and cinematic edits the most. I also have 10+ years of writing behind me, including both educational/factual writing and creative writing. I have a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with a minor in Creative Writing, and frequently interact with the gaming/art community on both Youtube and other social media. I previously was a streamer/vtuber on Twitch, and learned a lot of different video editing/streaming techniques as well as new skills associated with that sort of media. Everything used in my streams was made by me, including the edited compilations later posted to my own channel. I have a very unique perspective on life and tend to work outside of the box as much as possible. Sometimes my ideas are a little too creative, but I am a very hard worker and when I want something to work I will find any means of making it work. If I don't yet know how to do something I will learn how to do it or find a way around it. As far as video editing and writing go, I am equally passionate about both. I am always looking for a way to push the limits of what can be created with both mediums. While I do specialize in art and gaming, I have also ventured in both mediums into the realm of horror, and love making experimental videos and writing experimental stories that look at horror as a genre in a new way. It doesn't always have to be dramatic stings and jumpscares, after all! Additionally, I do dabble in logo creation, as I have created several logos for myself and others over the years - particularly in the vtuber/streaming community - and enjoy the process of logo creation as well. Hello! My name is Cory Wilson! I am an artist/actor based out in Los Angeles, CA! I received my bachelors degree in computer animation from CSULA and have been honing my skillset ever since! Some programs that I am proficient in includes the full Adobe Suite, Maya, Dragonframe, Unity, and Zbrush! One personal project that I have is that I am in the process of creating my own video game! I graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Dramatic Writing and a minor in film and TV. Through earning my degree, I learned how to become a better storyteller, and I have written many screenplays for all sorts of mediums— plays, movies, television, comedy sketches, etc. I have been drawing since I was a little kid, and I pursued art all through my school experience— I achieved a 4 out of a possible score of 5 on my high-school A.P. art portfolio, and I honed those skills through SCAD’s foundation classes. I have explored many mediums, including clay sculpting, throwing pottery, acrylic painting, foam sculpting, and using whatever other creative materials I have at hand to support my creative vision. I have skills in makeup artistry and have dabbled in SFX makeup for my horror cosplays and makeup looks. I often pair this skill with my artistic talents to make props from scratch and recreate iconic items from media I love. I have been editing for over 10 years on and off, having taught myself how to edit YouTube videos, films, shorts, meme videos, and even fan edits using Final Cut Pro X. I have dabbled in Premiere and After Effects as well, and I know how to do some basic visual effects in all the programs I listed. All in all, I’m passionate about storytelling and making people laugh.
