Over the past three months, I grew a YouTube channel to 3,000 subscribers and got it monetized, initially as an experiment to see if I could apply what I do in my day job to something of my own.
My background is in performance marketing, so I’m used to thinking in A/B tests, iteration, and user behavior. I look at what’s working, but more importantly why it’s working. At the same time, I’m very focused on storytelling. I care about pacing, narrative, and what actually keeps someone watching. That combination allows me to build content that isn’t just optimized, but intentional.
What’s shifted for me is that I'd like to learn as much as I can about Youtube and work with other creators to grow their channels. I'm interested in producing, storytelling, and being the host of youtube channel. The experiment proved I understand the mechanics. Now I want to pair that with a stronger on-camera presence and build something that people connect to more directly.
I bring both sides, the analytical and the creative. I can test, iterate, and scale, but I can also step in front of the camera and carry the story. That’s the direction I’m actively moving toward.
