My name is JC but it stands for something longer. Why don't you try to guess? I'm a video editor with over 5 years of experience in documentary, short fiction, web-series, and promotional content (social media, trailer...). My latest trailer recently reach 17k views on YouTube. I pride myself in my ability to work very closely with my clients, and find ways to fulfill every needs, often going beyond expectations. I'm extremely versatile, therefore I have learned, and am learning, new skills every day.

For most of my life, I ran about two YouTube channels. Both of them reached over 1,000 subscribers. After I decided to stop pursuing it. I enlisted in the United States Navy. I could not finish my training due to medical reasons and was given a medical discharge. After I returned, I regained interest in video production. I am currently enrolled in a film certification at NYU. I now work for a YouTuber that goes by the name Gaming Utopia. I mainly edit his long-form videos and occasionally his short-form videos. I strive to ensure the product I put out would be something I would put for my channel. I always strive to mimic the editing style that my clients prefer. Regardless of how I feel about the video, I always make it known. I want to put you first. I always look for any form of feedback regardless of whether the final product is to your liking or not. Nothing I create is perfect. No matter how big or small the details are. I am very passionate about the creative process. I enjoy the behind-the-scenes nature of working with videos. I like seeing myself in the video as I work. Every project is personal to me, so I treat every video, big or small, with the best care.

Your origin story: I grew up in a family of four, raised by a single mom who couldn't always afford to buy us new clothes, so we thrifted a lot. While at the time it was a chore, eventually it became a passion of mine. Every thrift trip became a challenge to find treasures and i always came home with pieces that i'd personally picked and soon i'd start thrifting for full outfits. My friends and i also traded clothes and lended each-other pieces. By the time i was in my late teens and early twenties i was thrifting to sell on platforms like Poshmark, Ebay, Offer Up and eventually Depop. A recent milestone or accomplishment: A recent milestone in my life is reaching 884 sales on my Depop shop. I started selling vintage thrift finds on the Depop platform a few years ago for fun, i later started taking it seriously and now i have built a stream of income that helps pay for all the fun activities. Something new you learned: Iv'e learned that your mind has the power to help you accomplish almost anything, even what seems impossible. What you're passionate about: I'm passionate about People, Jesus, creating art in different forms, modeling, fashion and styling. How you can help where others can't: I am here for the creatively challenged folks, for those with creative mental blocks. Here for people who have a vision and don't know how to go about it, or those who just need extra hands creating. I am looking for an opportunity to use my video producing, directing, editing, scriptwriting, and research skills with creators who have already established their presence on YouTube. I have done video editing for about 3 years using Adobe software, but have recently acquired Final Cut Pro on my MacBook Pro as well as Final Draft (a scriptwriting software for MacBooks). I can assure you that I am very proficient and professional when it comes to creating, editing and managing new content. My attention to detail is excellent and I have a creative mind. I am 100% confident with my abilities to go above and beyond limitations, to push past obstacles and to find a solution to problems that may arise. And if all that isn't enough, I am also a veteran of the Tennessee Army National Guard. Which means I have gone through mental and physical challenges and have developed a strong will to better myself and help my country get through these times of frustration. With my creative mind and proficiency in video production I am confident that I am more than capable of helping others with their content. *Please note that I like to be more relaxed in the way I communicate rather than be stuffy and "professional" as if I have to impress a corporate person every time I type up emails or contact someone. If I wanted to work in a stuffy environment I would just go apply to a stuffy corporate office job that micro manages me. I am more of a creative and artistic mind, that has the ability to also analyze things like a detective solving a crime.
