I am an expert in biology, specifically genetics and evolutionary biology
Private informationDescription
What makes me unique as a creative professional is my ability to translate complex science into something people can actually understand and stay engaged with. I didn’t just learn biology in a classroom, I’ve spent years working as a biologist and teaching it to the next generation. A big part of my skill set comes from working with students who don’t learn easily or who struggle with anxiety. I also teach scuba diving, and in that experience I’ve had students take multiple attempts to complete their certification, and I’ve learned how to break down concepts in different ways until something finally clicks. That same persistence carries over into research and fact-checking - I don’t settle for surface-level understanding. I dig deep until I can explain something simply, accurately, and in a way that actually sticks.
Creatively, I’m especially interested in making biology feel intuitive rather than intimidating. Whether it’s genetics, evolution, or ecology, I naturally think in terms of “how would I explain this to someone who’s overwhelmed or new to this?” That mindset makes me a strong fit for YouTube, where clarity, pacing, and audience connection matter just as much as accuracy.
What I bring that others may not is a combination of scientific understanding, teaching experience, and real-world experience. I’m used to being the person people rely on when things aren’t clicking or when stress is high, and I know how to turn confusion into confidence. That’s the same approach I’d bring to helping create content that is not only correct, but genuinely impactful for viewers.
