Hi! My name is Diane (or Dao, interchangeably) and I’m a junior majoring in Journalism (concentration in Public Relations) and a minor in Sociology. I’ve recently began participating as a research assistant for the Reimagining Justice Lab, where my goal is to determine the accuracy of state laws in databases and how outdated they are (if applicable). This research opportunity fuels my passion for working in government, international affairs and public policy. I believe my strengths and passions in these fields motivates me to become a better person through knowing people from all kinds of communities and underrepresented groups. My upbringing as an Asian daughter of immigrants opened the door for a variety of experiences that I learn from and use to expand my interpersonal skills in a world of ever-growing societal standards and advancements.
