Writer & researcher specializing in making deep dives accessible and addictive
Private informationDescription
I’ve written videos that have been viewed over five million times. I’ve researched for creators whose subscriber numbers have made seasoned Hollywood executives teary-eyed. I’ve scripted videos as short as five minutes and as long as five hours, both of which were given a week-long turn-around (dear god don’t ask).
I’ve also spent years trying and failing, as the former singer of a punk band who has played to thousands of people and less than ten people. I’ve written blogs read by nobody. Sometimes, I just write for the sake of writing and never release it anywhere.
Why? Because I love writing. To most of the people applying to work with you, this is just a job. There is power in the written word, and there is power in understanding that the written word will be read differently by every single audience member.
If you hire me, you’ll be hiring someone who loves what he does AND will consistently think long and hard about what each word means. I absolutely refuse to make either of us look stupid. I also work very quickly, and will never miss a deadline.
Let’s collaborate.

This was the script that got me hired into the writers room on Bailey Sarian’s Dark History. I came onto the project as a freelance researcher and when I pitched the story, I pitched it as a fully-broken outline. I did all of the research here, and even used translation services to locate some of the more obscure Puerto Rican news stories.
All of this led to Bailey hand-picking me for her writers room, but before the room was finalized, she and I sat and wrote this script together. It was very nerve-wracking to be directly collaborating with a massive YouTuber for my very first YouTube project, but it was such a massive success it got me an entire year of steady work for one of the biggest (and also kindest) YouTubers I’ve ever worked for.
