3D Animation Storyteller with 8 years of Experience in Branding and Animation
Private informationDescription
Hi, I’m Juane, but everyone calls me Jay :D
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Film and TV, specialising in 3D Animation and Photography, but most of what I’ve learned has come from being deep in the work force over the past 8 years in the marketing world.
I started out freelancing as a graphic designer and animator, slowly building a client base across industries like engineering, wine, education, and small businesses. Over time, that grew into managing full creative projects from concept to final delivery, the kind where you’re wearing a few hats and making sure everything actually comes together.
I stepped into the YouTube space, leading a team behind a channel with over 275,000 subscribers. I helped rebrand the channel and expand it into three, while producing long-form documentary content and 3D animations. My role sat right in the middle of creative and technical, working from script to screen. I’d handle research, plan out visuals, build models, environments, and lighting setups, then collaborate with the team to bring it all to life. From there, I’d step back in during post to shape the final edit, refine the pacing, and make sure everything felt cinematic and engaging. Finalizing the YouTube end of things, with a tailored description, SEO, and Thumbnail.
My background in photography and design definitely shows up in how I approach storytelling. I’m always thinking about composition, mood, and how to guide someone’s attention without them even realising it.
Lately, I’ve also been exploring how AI can support and speed up parts of the workflow, especially in 3D asset creation and ideation, without losing the human touch that makes good work feel real.
I’m comfortable with tools like Blender, Cinema 4D, and 3ds Max, as well as platforms like YouTube Studio, ClickUp, Slack, Envato, and ElevenLabs.
I’m a passionate storyteller, and I do my best to bring every story I’m trusted with to life in a way that feels honest and engaging.

I also helped with the sound design and Yotube SEO. This is one of our best full productions. It did not do great at first, but then it picked up and it gain over 100k views in 3 weeks. -

One of my favourite 3D animations I've made for this project. I did everything from start to finish. It was a good challenge to see where I can push my skills. This was on the first channel and it did extremely well to over 200k views in 2 months, but it was taken down and placed on a new channel where the traction did not recover unfortunelty -

This was my first video I worked on for Waterline Stories. I did all the animation and the 3D Introduction. I also helped with the SEO and the Thumbnails.
This video did not do great, as we discovered the Diving niche is quite smaller than it used to be and our subscribers were not that interested. -

I helped curate the 3D graphics for this project by using still images. We wanted to experiment with how long a production takes and what is needed to make a good production. This was not a failure in that sense, but definitely not the best that I can produce -
