Cambridge Graduate experienced in Academic Research and Writing
Private informationDescription
What sets me apart as a creative professional is my ability to combine academic rigour with cultural curiosity. I recently graduated from the University of Cambridge with a degree in Spanish and Portuguese, where I was trained to conduct in-depth research, think critically, and communicate ideas clearly and persuasively. My studies spanned history, politics, literature, art history, and film, providing a foundation for understanding how ideas circulate through culture and how to trace them across time, media, and ideology. That is why I am drawn to video essays: they allow analysis to become storytelling, a media-based cultural archaeology.
Writing has always been at the core of my work. Through dissertations, long-form essays and independent research projects, I found that I thrive on sustained investigation and shaping ideas into coherent narratives. Beyond academia, my experience in translation and communications has further developed my ability to adapt language and tone to suit the audience. I aspire to work in academia because I thrive in investigative research and writing, and I see real value in applying those skills to modern cultural questions that are unfolding in real time and alive in public discourse.
I am open to researching a wide range of subjects, from internet phenomena and popular culture to politically or historically grounded topics. Whether the subject is light-hearted or intensely academic, I approach it with the same level of curiosity and commitment to depth.
