I like the raw and authentic style of Casey Neistat (of course), the deeply researched and well delivered style of Johnny Harris, the bizarre and funny campfire feel of The Why Files, the straight-faced analytical sense of Thomas Flight and the profound writing prose of American Baron. It should be fun, energetic, well researched and talking about a topic that is interesting and (most of the time) beyond or outside of the news cycle! The example topics to the left of my current page for this profile say I should talk about my accomplishments and unique skills that make me "awesome". I'll just tell you who I am instead. I give too many of my curiosities 100%, have a minimal list of accomplishments worth touting but have effectively prioritized an experiential existence. My journal scribbles always rant about living the life worth making a movie about rather than making movies about lives well lived...that sort of thing. I have a degree in Religion and Mythology, an MA in International Affairs, joined the Army in my 30s because all the grad school folk in Brooklyn, NY (me included to some extent) criticized it and I thought "I ought to go through it if I'm gonna critique it". That may have been extreme but I don't regret it. I've done a lot of different jobs, I've lived abroad, I speak Chinese and I really want to bring visual life to good stories that need no exaggeration (but I never let the truth get in the way of a great story). For official reference, back in 2005 I pitched and helped build out my high school's editing bay in the early days of Final Cut Pro. I started a film festival. I Minored in film. I utilized my editing skills to do pitch videos/visual resumes that landed me a great marketing job in NYC in 2017 and later as the Media Producer for The Veritas Forum. Now I am out of an intensive 2.5 years of Army training and looking to join up or partner with anyone trying to produce meaningful, thoughtful and captivating content. For years, I have always loved watching and creating videos. I can't say I have a big enough portfolio to consider myself a professional, at least yet. I've created videos using iMovie, OpenShot, CapCut (briefly), and my current program DaVinci Resolve. I have yet to try Adobe Premiere, but that's from lack of money to pay for it. Most of my content pushes towards gaming videos, usually sharing funny moments in which ever game I am creating a video on. I do also create art and write stories, and I've tried to create an art/animation project, but I didn't have a very supportive team. When editing, I can do many effects such as zooming in/out, sound distortion, volume leveling, color change, tracking, subtitles, green screen work, and more that I am probably forgetting. I can also edit a song to make it fit in a section of the video better, as I've been a musician all throughout grade school. Other things I can work on while editing is turning a video into a short reel. I may have a small channel and a small portfolio, but I am willing to work with anyone who needs the help. I love helping other people out, and it's fun editing other people's videos and seeing their vision becoming a reality. That not only makes them excited, but it makes me excited.

Spanish is my native tongue, and my upbringing has given me a deep understanding of both American and Peruvian cultures. Although I was born in the United States, I spent a significant portion of my childhood in Peru. My parents lived in different countries—my mother in the US and my father in Peru—which meant I alternated years living and going to school between the two countries. This experience required me to continuously adapt to both cultures and languages, making me fluent in both English and Spanish. As a teenager, I permanently moved to the US to live with my dad and stepmom. While I was proficient in both languages, my parents struggled with their English. To bridge this gap, I began subtitling videos from YouTube into Spanish so I could share my interests with them. This not only honed my translation skills but also gave me a profound appreciation for the power of language in connecting people across cultural boundaries. Although i have no professional training, with my unique bicultural background and a passion for languages, I am confident in my ability to deliver high-quality subtitling that captures the essence and nuances of both languages.
