Hello there! My name is Holly. I'm a writer and editor (the word kind, not the video kind), with experience in academic, educational, and creative writing. I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Student Affairs.
I've worked as a career advisor where I wrote and proofread professional documents such as resumes and personal statements, created copy for department websites and newsletters, facilitated communication between students and employers, coordinated both virtual and in-person campus events, and helped students find the perfect job. I also have experience conducting and outlining academic research within the fields of psychology and counseling. While my research experience is limited, I'm very passionate about the topics of psychology and counseling, as well as history, and often find myself doing what I call 'personal research' in order to sate my curiosity.
Currently, I'm working on a passion project that is my first novel. After feeling stuck and unfulfilled in my desk job about a year ago, I decided to embark on the journey that is becoming an author. I dusted off the ol' keyboard and started immediately - brainstorming, outlining, and educating myself on all I needed to know. For the past several months, I've been involved in a novel-writing intensive program where I've been workshopping my first draft, as well as honing my skills in fiction and creative writing.
I've been a watcher of Youtube consistently for the past 15+ years and have always wanted to get involved in the Youtube community. I would love to work with a team that can make use of my skills and interests, and embraces the idea of bringing passion, collaboration and humor into the projects that we work on together.
