Above everything else, I love telling stories -- and I love helping others tell /their/ stories. I went to film school at the prestigious NYU Tisch School of the Arts, graduating in May of 2024 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Television Production. Phew! Through my time at university I learned so many incredible facets of storytelling, from pre production and script development; through shotlisting, storyboarding, producing, cinematography, lighting, and how to properly run a set; to post production finishing, editing on Adobe Premiere and Avid Media Composer, and constructing a creative grade in DaVinci Resolve. With all these skills on my back, I knew I would have no issue being a great help to wonderful storytellers. However I realized among my group of creative peers that I was not your average film student -- I did not grow up with a list of favorite directors in my head nor could I recognize the most famous actors of my childhood, even if they hit me with their car in New York City. What I /could/ tell you about, though, is the internet. YouTube. Creators that shaped my adolescence through their creative work which was not backed by multi-million dollar networks, which was not overly-produced, but which still impacted me greatly. I was not making home movies when I was twelve, I was making (really cringey) YouTube videos. With this new realization, I am pivoting towards the great Internet Distributor. I want to help creators realize and bring their visions to life, by way of my professional skills and training. I am your person for this job because of my background in the film and television world; my professionalism and know-how is unmatched, yet I am still early in my career and eager to work, to please, to give you everything you need on your project. In film, I am especially passionate about working with/about women and female stories and issues, family matters, and social injustice. I apply this to YouTube by working with creators who align with my beliefs and values as a woman/non-binary person in this creative space. I hope to help you influence your audience in the way that I was as a teen, and as I am still influenced today. I hope to work with you on your next video, series, podcast -- whatever! Hello and hello again, I am a long time visual artist with degrees in Digital Media, Professional Photography, Film/TV production and currently working through a Journalism degree. I am also a long time extreme sports athlete and enthusiast. I love to board, watch other people board, and to get out in the snow, sand, concrete and to film people doing their best. Aside from that I just love to edit. I can sit for days and just cut film, add music, design the sounds, make cards, color grade, make graphics or just talk about film. My name is Ermyas Agegnehu. My greatest skills come from working on many failing projects, helping me understand what not to do to run a successful social media account on any platform. I specifically am very familiar with YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, and other popular platforms at the moment, and I am sure that I can turn any niche and idea into a trending and successful product. Well things like that are not promised, because no one can be certain about the future. But me, I will do my best to make it sound it was promised!

As a video editor with four years of experience, my journey began during my college years, where I pursued a bachelor's degree in mass communication and film. My passion for visual storytelling led me to start filming and editing music videos for local artists, which was my introduction to the world of video production. The thrill of crafting narratives through visuals and sound sparked a love for editing that has only grown over the years. After graduating, I worked full-time as an editor, collaborating with major companies whose primary audiences were outside of YouTube. While I gained invaluable experience and honed my technical skills, I realized that my true passion lay in a different direction. I wanted to break into the YouTube scene, where I could have a more direct impact on viewers and be part of a creative community that values innovation and emotional connection. In the past year, I’ve had the privilege of editing for a dozen YouTubers, each project allowing me to refine my craft further. Learned Graphic Design and Video Editing (a good chunk of Adobe's Suit) trough school and uni for about 6 years, searching for my breaktrought in this world. Obviously open to work as both a Video Editor and Thumbnail Artist, have plenty of experience on both. Massive nerd consuming Youtube content 20hrs a day and feel like pretty on top of trends and brain rot of the moment, and also have a little kitten.

I have been making YouTube and TikTok videos for as long as I can remember. I love playing with content and changing it to look better.
