hello I’m looking for a thumbnail designer / strategist that covers dark documentary-style videos about internet mysteries, true crime, lost media, disturbing online culture, and iceberg-style topics.
I’m looking for someone who understands YouTube thumbnails beyond just making something look clean. I need someone with strong thumbnail intuition — someone who understands curiosity, emotion, contrast, simplicity, and what makes people actually click.
The style I’m going for is similar to channels like Snook, SIRIUS, Nick Crowley, and other dark documentary / true crime / internet mystery channels.
This would ideally be a long-term role if it’s a good fit.
Most thumbnails will be for long-form videos around 16–25 minutes, with some longer iceberg-style videos in the future.

You’d help with:
  •  Creating clickable thumbnails for dark documentary / true crime / internet mystery videos
  •  Helping come up with strong thumbnail concepts, not just designing what I say
  •  Looking through the topic/script and finding the most clickable visual angle
  •  Using images, screenshots, faces, objects, text, and contrast to create strong curiosity
  •  Making thumbnails that feel dark, mysterious, and polished without being too cluttered
  •  Creating multiple versions when needed so we can test different ideas
  •  Matching the vibe of my channel while improving the overall click ability

When applying, please send:
  •  Examples of thumbnails you’ve made
  •  Any thumbnails closest to true crime / horror / dark documentary / mystery content
  •  Your price per thumbnail
  •  Whether you offer multiple concepts or revisions
  •  Your usual turnaround time
  •  A short note on how you usually approach thumbnail ideas

we will discuss pay depending on the project... please contact if interested :D
