Unseen is a documentary-style true crime series from Goalcast, that amplifies the strength of survivors. We go beyond the crime to showcase their powerful journeys of survival and healing, highlighting their resilience. With over 1 million subscribers on YouTube, our channel continues to reach and inspire a global audience through unseen cases.
Job Overview:
We are looking to amplify our impact and are currently hiring for a YouTube Thumbnail Designer. This role is a part time freelance position; North American candidates will be prioritized.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for creating YouTube thumbnails for Unseen
- Work with the production team to ideate and execute the concepts
- Understand the tone of the brands and innovate the thumbnails while still staying true to the shows’ voice
- Can attend 1 meeting per week on Zoom to ideate and brainstorm thumbnail concepts with the creative team (within working hours)
- Deliver the PSD file & 2 finished Youtube thumbnails aligned with the feedback, per video in a timely manner
What you need:
- A strong portfolio featuring graphic design, 2D illustrations and/or YouTube thumbnails
- A strong understanding of YouTube best practices and trends
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop
- Thrives on feedback and looking to work collaboratively with a passionate team
- Strong communication skills
- Eager to brainstorm, try new things, and learn with teamwork
Our ideal candidate has:
- Experience designing thumbnails with other YouTube or Snapchat creators
- Genuine interest in the content we’re creating!
