🔥 About LSAT Unplugged

We’re already a top LSAT prep channel on YouTube, but we’re about to do something radically different.

Our focus has always been education first, but we know that great teaching doesn’t have to be boring. We’re rethinking how LSAT prep is presented—taking the best engagement strategies from top YouTubers like Alex Hormozi while keeping our content sharp, serious, and to the point.

We're not about flashy gimmicks or distracting effects. Instead, we want our videos to be clean, crisp, and retention-driven—structured in a way that keeps viewers engaged while reinforcing key takeaways.

We're developing new video formats, including:

🎯 Speedrun LSAT Strategies – High-value insights in minutes, no fluff
🎭 Game Show-Style Challenges – Adding strategic competition to LSAT learning
💡 Deep-Dive Course Content – Turning long-form education into gripping content
🔥 Client Breakdowns & Transformations – Real student journeys, real takeaways

To bring this vision to life, we need a high-level video editor who understands how to apply engagement-driven editing to educational content—maximizing retention without diluting the learning experience.

🎥 Your Role: Strategic Storyteller & Engagement Architect

This is more than just cutting footage—you’ll be responsible for structuring edits that keep viewers watching and absorbing information.

Edit high-energy YouTube videos (10-45 min) with retention-focused pacing.

Cut out fluff and tighten delivery while keeping content engaging and digestible.

Create attention-grabbing hooks—because the first 10 seconds decide whether viewers stay or leave.

Use motion graphics, subtle animations, and text overlays to reinforce learning points without overwhelming the viewer.

Enhance pacing with zooms, cuts, and transitions in a way that feels natural and purposeful.

Match the style and clarity of Alex Hormozi’s videos—not just visually, but in the way information is structured for maximum impact.
Your job is to elevate educational content with retention-driven edits—to make LSAT prep as engaging as possible without sacrificing clarity or credibility.

🛠️ You Might Be Our Editor If You…

✅ Have 3+ years of YouTube editing experience (business, education, or thought leadership content preferred)
✅ Understand retention-based editing—you know what keeps viewers engaged without overwhelming them
✅ Can match the pacing and clarity of Alex Hormozi’s videos
✅ Have motion graphics, text animations, and sound design skills that support (not distract from) the content
✅ Know YouTube metrics like watch time and audience retention and edit with these in mind
✅ Can create edits that feel sharp, intentional, and professional—without relying on fluff
✅ Are adaptable and excited to help shape the visual identity of our new formats
✅ Have experience working with fast turnarounds and iterative feedback

❌ You’re NOT a Fit If…

🚫 You specialize in entertainment-style editing (e.g., vlogs, travel montages, gaming edits, reaction videos, etc.)
🚫 You rely on B-roll or stock footage to make a video interesting (we want pacing, structure, and visual hierarchy—not filler)
🚫 You don’t analyze audience retention graphs and edit accordingly
🚫 You struggle with text-heavy, thought-leader-style videos that require focus on substance

We need someone who thinks like a content strategist—not just someone who knows how to cut video but understands why each edit increases retention and engagement.

💻 Preferred Tools & Skills

🎬 Adobe Premiere Pro & After Effects (or similar pro-level editing tools)
🎨 Experience with DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro is a plus
🤖 Familiarity with AI tools (Runway, Descript, or Adobe’s AI features)
📸 Bonus: Thumbnail design skills to help drive clicks
