I have over two decades of experience as a writer, scriptwriter, researcher and editor across a variety of media, including podcasts, YouTube, TV, print media and in the literary space.

I worked with true crime author Michelle McNamara on her bestselling 'I'll Be Gone in the Dark' (2018, HarperCollins), which I helped complete following the author’s death—contributing to the book as a co-writer, ghostwriter, researcher and co-editor.

I co-executive produced as well as appeared in the 'I'll Be Gone in the Dark' documentary series (created by Liz Garbus) for HBO, and I've written over a hundred scripts for YouTube creators and podcasts—such as 'MrBallen Podcast: Strange, Dark & Mysterious Stories'—whose content has reached audiences of tens of millions across the globe.

I've also written film criticism and longform pieces, and my work has been published in 'Boca Raton' magazine, 'Los Angeles' magazine, the 'Sun-Sentinel,' and elsewhere.
