Video Editing

Description

• Started photo and video editing for school Erasmus project called "Euroschool" in which I had to film and
make short videos that summarise the different activities students attended.
• Continued with funny-meme-oriented videos in which a colleague of mine was imitating teachers. We even
showed them to the rest of the class and the teachers and it was really fun. I think that's what started making
me feel like video editing can make people happy.
• Edited AMVs aka Animated Music Videos. I only made 2, the first one that I ever made still has the most
views on my youtube channel (counting at around 50k). It was then when I discovered how much I like synci
ng music and sounds to videos and images.
• Switched to a League of Legends series with my friends. This was the main focus on my channel, and you can
clearly see an evolution quality wise throughout the series.
• Lately I've been trying to focus on World of Warcraft and other games I play on the side .
• Oh, I've also worked as a Game Tester for 4.5 years.

    How I edit a video :
    1. film a bunch of raw video
    2. go through it and cut everything that has 0 meaning or "spark" so to say, in other words keep what is worth keeping
    3. go through what's left again but this time we keep some of the "medium" quality moments, not only the good ones. why ? because I like to create high and lows, and we can't have highs in a video without lows and since we are in the 2nd phase of cutting out the garbage, lows aren't really lows, they are more like mediums
    4. editing in the memes, the bits, the jokes, the focuses, the zooms, the black and whites, basically making the video alive using the tools at hand with ideas that come out of my brain
    5. adding music / background music if necessary ~ some songs just fit, some vids just need silence and sound it's very important. we are more sensitive to sound than  light or the visual part of a video, therebefore if the sound it's all messy or too loud people tend to not watch the video more often than if the video it's hyper edited with a lot of effects. the name of the game in this step is balance.
    6. checking if everything fits, basically watching the video a couple of times
    7. exporting the video
    8. watching the video again, a couple of times, 3-5 times
    9. changing whatever I wanted changed after watching it
    10. applying the changes
    11.  exporting and checking again
    12. voila, we have a video ready to be uploaded
    (13. I also make the thumbnails on my own)
