I tell stories not with noise but with silence, flow, and visual feeling.

Hi, I'm Soumyadip — Video Editor | Motion Graphics Artist | Visual Storyteller
I work primarily with DaVinci Resolve, bringing over 2 years of hands-on experience in video editing and motion graphics. My style is clean, minimal, and emotionally grounded. I’ve always believed that subtlety often speaks louder than spectacle, that the quiet rhythm of a cut, the pause between shots, or the tone of a transition can carry more weight than flashy effects.
(Due to a technical issue, I can’t share my full profile or YouTube link here. But you can check out my work on Behance, LinkedIn, or my website you’ll find other links too. Feel free to message me if you'd like more details. Thanks)
Whether I’m cutting together a short film, designing a YouTube intro, or crafting social media content, I approach every project with a focus on tone, rhythm, and feeling. I also design thumbnails, templates, and branding assets, always with an eye toward emotional resonance and clarity.
A Background in Language, A Life in Images:
My creative journey runs alongside an academic one. I’ve completed a Master’s in Linguistics after earning my degree in English Literature from the University of Calcutta. That foundation in language deeply informs how I approach visual storytelling because I believe that images, like words, carry structure, silence, and meaning.
Some Highlights from My Work:
Recently collaborated with a local brand, where I handled video editing, motion graphics, and social media strategy from content pitching and planning to execution.
Earlier, I had a stint in journalism, covering political rallies and social events. On my very first day, I found myself reporting solo from a rally, no press card, no backup, just instinct and grit. I didn’t step back.
Interned at IIDE, where I had to take leadership during a team crisis. That experience shaped my confidence in fast-paced, uncertain environments.
What Drives Me: Outside of work, I’m deeply drawn to philosophy and Buddhist thought for its clarity, quietness, and depth. I plan to pursue further studies in this space.
I also create personal documentaries introspective, slow-burning projects exploring inner landscapes and cultural memory. My street photography practice keeps me grounded in the present. I’ve been fortunate to win three photography awards, but more than that, it's a way of observing the world with empathy.
Let’s Connect: Above all, I value meaningful work projects with emotional depth, cultural context, or social purpose. I’m looking for opportunities where I can contribute sincerely through editing, creative direction, or collaborative storytelling while continuing to grow, both professionally and personally.
If any of this resonates with you, I’d love to connect, collaborate, or simply have a thoughtful conversation.
