Aspiring editor blending film school training with hands-on YouTube & Shorts editing

I'm a Cinema & Screen Studies student who's fallen in love with the craft of shaping raw footage into stories that actually land. There's something deeply satisfying about finding the rhythm of a cut — knowing when to hold a shot, when to jump, and how structure alone can turn a scene from flat to unforgettable.

Over the past year, I've built hands-on experience with CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, and Premiere Pro, editing everything from long-form YouTube content to punchy Shorts. One of my favorite projects so far was a mockumentary-style tourism promo for a fake town — I wrote the script, planned and shot every scene, starred in it, and edited the whole thing start to finish. Owning a project end-to-end like that taught me how every piece, from a line of dialogue to a well-timed cut, has to work together to sell an idea.

What drives me is storytelling — figuring out the narrative bones of a video before I ever touch a timeline. Whether it's a slow-burn long-form piece or a fifteen-second Short that needs to hook in the first frame, I care about pacing, clarity, and making sure every cut serves the story.

I'm looking to bring that same energy to a team that values thoughtful editing — I'm always learning, always refining, and genuinely excited about where this craft can take me.
